I bought a used '88 740 GLE with a filthy front seat cover (faux fur), and can't get it off to clean it without removing the head restraint. The Haynes guide says to push the front of the seat back 3.5" below the top to release it. I about strained both arms trying, and it doesn't work on either front seat. Any ideas?
