Rich mixture 700

I had the same on my 964 1996, the engine acts up for a few seconds and then it will act normal for a while. I've replaced the Oxygen sensors, power packs, and air mass sensor with no luck. I noticed the problem usually occurs more often when I fill up the tank. I finally got a P0440 code Evaporative Emission Con. Sys. Malfunction. I then disconnected the Purge Control Valve and after I filled up the gas tank, and a bit of driving around town, there were no more problems.
So I'm thinking of a new Purge Control Valve, about $50.
Hope this helps
