There is not a Ford style fuel shut off switch on these cars.

Sounds like a loose wire. Check the coil to distributor wire. One common source is the crank sensor cable. Wires will break near the sensor end, often but not necessarly recognized by worn insulation. Edit, the coil wire cannot jump back on. Leaning toward the crank sensor.
