What did I break? 700 1985

That is the actuator for your cruise control, which needs to hold vacuum to pull the throttle open to hold speed. I guess there is normally vacuum present there; I don't have cruise on my current brick so I can't run out and check. Must be.

You should be able to disconnect and plug the vacuum line going to the actuator as a temporary fix, probably you could scrounge another at the junkyard.

Check the kickdown cable, too, amke sure it's still on it's spool properly.

Looks like your throttle body might also be due for a good cleaning. : )
