bypassing thermostat valve so car will start 200 1981

I broke the blue thermostat valve (t-valve) that comes out of the engine block and attaches by vacuum hoses to the control pressure regulator and intake manifold (1981 245). Does anyone know if there is a way to reconfigure the vacuum hoses to bybass the t-valve to get the car to start again? Specifically, the inner port that connects the t-valve to the intake manifold snapped off so that there is a small hole in the t-valve and the manifold vacuum hose has nothing to attach to. I couldn't find a replacement at the junkyard, and it'll take a week to get it from the dealer. The car runs fine otherwise. This is typical of my do it yourself experiences. I got frustrated and careless while I was putting the hoses back together again after I replaced my wiring harness. I'd be grateful for any advice you might have.
