the high NOX 200 1992

If the O2 sensor were getting false oxygen, the CO would be accordingly high and the O2 reading (not published in the results) would have caused an invalid test. This high CO would actually keep the catalyst in reduction phase and LOWER the NOx...unless the cat was so overwhelmed with O2, but the leak would have to be large and, again, an invalid test for excess O2 in downstream gasses.
