srs 200

the srs light on my 1993 240 wagon is on. the closest dealer is 3 hours away . my boyfriend (a mechanic) has worked on both of our volvos and this is the first thing he doesn't know what to do. any ideas from you guys out there? will it hurt it to stay on?

also, to reset the radio code does the car have to run for 2 hours and waste gas or can we just turn it on to acces. and let it sit? will disconnecting the battery fix aither of these problems?

thnks
nancy
