Pertronix Ignition system 120-130

I installed a Pertronix pointless system in my 142 that was equipped with an iron Bosch distributor about two months ago. The installation was pretty easy. As was mentioned by others, some of the earlier units have armoured cables that have to be dealt with. IPD or Retrorockets can help you through this process and help you decide what kit you need.

It's important to consider that Pertronix\Perlux pointless systems do not give improved performance over a distributor in perfect working condition. They can improve worn distributors that have developed lateral slop and can eliminate the need to replace points and condensers.

Overall, I like the system. The unit give a stock look and performs well for me.

Best of luck!
