1991 740 brake light problem 700 1991

Hi,

The brake lights on my '91 740 (all three lights-both rear ones, and the middle one on the top) are not working. I checked the fuse, which was fine, and changed the bulbs, and the lights still aren't working. Someone suggested to me that it could be the brake light switch, and that I should check to see if it's getting 12v. How do I access the brake light switch, and how do I check for the problem and fix it if there is one? Further, if that's not the problem what else could it be? Any and all suggestions and hints would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm a complete newbie to car maintenance, so please be patient if I ask some seemingly stupid questions.

Thanks!,

Vin
