Removal of drive shaft ? 700 1985

Hey guys,

This may sound kind of dumb, but I have never had to remove a drive shaft before - hence the basic questions. How do I get the drive shaft removed when replacing the center support bearing ? I see that there is a brace under the drive shaft. Is that supposed to come off or do I just take the shaft apart. If so, which connections have to come apart to remove it. I assume there are splines that pull apart one I disconnect at least one end.

Thanks for any more info.
