running poor 1999

I own a 99 s70 with 106,000 miles. At a red light the engine sputtered and quit requiring a tow. My mechanic replaced the mass airflow sensor and the oxygen sensor. It ran ok for 2 days and the same thing happened again. He thought that possibly the airflow sensor might have been defective but that wasn't the problem. he now feels there's is a vacuum problem but hasn't been able to pin it down.

Would anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
