I don't know anything about running any amount of ethanol in a Volvo except
some station in Estes Park fixed me up in the white 164. Andy, Peggy, Esther,
Susie and I plus two of A&P's kids were in the car about 40 miles out in Rocky
Mountain National Park when it stopped graveyard dead. We were able to blow
a double handful of babypoo brown stuff back through the fuel line, following
which we hooked it back up and it ran fairly well. Since then I have been
actively disinterested in ethanol as a motor fuel for a variety of reasons, some
of them ethical.
Nonetheless I'd start with 20° initial advance and if it knocks, back it up till
it doesn't. But that is just my opinion.
GREAT to hear from you. The big Island was GREAT!!
Call me up sometime and we'll talk. All the peoplefinders can give you my number.
