ignition for a 122 120-130

If your ignition will work OK hot wired it is NOT the ignition that is bad,
but it may be the switch (a very common problem in 122s).
Also if your system is only charging at a little over 12 volts it is not
charging at all. The battery with no charging system is 12.6 volts.
You may have a bad generator, a bad or maladjusted regulator, or poor contact
somewhere in your wiring connections. You should chase BOTH of these down
before you take the car on a 100 mile trip!
Your system should charge at 13.5 to 14 volts if you want to avoid push-starting!
