ignition for a 122 and such 120-130

I guess Bruce mentioned it was the switch. My mistake. I drove it all around on errands today and it was charging just fine. We sanded the contacts for the fuses too. The car has a retrofitted generator thank goodness. I always got nervous waiting at those stop lights to get on the freeway with the 544.

So do you know anyone with an ignition switch for sale? Any inkling as to why the radio is just blowing out static. It has never given me problems before, and from Minneapolis to Rochester is getting to be a "fur piece" without NPR. I could drive the 740 but my heart wants to drive the 122, and the fuel cost would be far less I think. I am doing a test with both cars driving around the cities. I am sure the 122 gets better mileage, especially with the OD< but I want to find out in a semi-scientific manner.

A lot of you perhaps have deduced that this is more than driving a 40 year car to Rochester for visit to the Mayo Clinic. It is about me. I will put MRI scans online when I can figure out how to do it.

Which fuse does the radio operate on? In your humble opinion is it safe to use my phone charger and not blow up my cell phone?

Thanks so much George!

or anyone else!
