towing popup sagging rear end. 900 1997

Hello all - I have finally replaced my 89 745 turbo with a 97 960. I love it. The smooth quite ride rocks, and the power is where its at.

My new ride is not equiped with Nivomats. Will they just bolt in leaving the leaf springs as well? I am going to pull a 2000 pound pop up to durago colorado this month from carbondale, IL. This will be some real miles with the trailer, and the rear end sure sags when attached.

Any other tips? I have changed the tranny to synthetic, although I have not added a cooler, which I may do before leaving. I am running 10w30 synthetic. Should I switch to 15w40 as the owners manual reccomends?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Peter
