Stalling at Idle 200 1987

My 87 240 non-turbo is stalling at idle (cold or hot). It starts and runs fine for about 3-5 seconds and then just dies. It will re-start and do the same thing again and again. I can make it sit there and idle longer when I remove the hose from the idle control motor where it connects to hose by throttle body. It will idle like this but will stall if you try to increase RPM. I did change the Idle Control Motor but get the same problem.
I do maintain fuel pressure of 40 psi, and appear to have good spark.
Thanks for your help on this.
