hello fitz
i have swapped regina/rex computers from different years no problem.
my friend worked for volvo for 15 yrs and says many of the fuel computers were re-flashed by volvo to fix problems they had early on.
you can possible find the fuel computer at the jy with a date written on a small white label when volvo re-flashed the computer to improve problems.
i think the muffler place should pick up the bill, as you have some leverage on the (no cat) job they did for you.
