960 Climate Control Issues 900 1997

Thanks for your forum. I have a 1997 960- the climate control (auto) is blowing heated air always at start-up. The controls are inoperative, the green a/c push-button square light indicator is blinking all the time. The Recirculation button comes on when you push it. The rest of the system doesn't do anything other than blow hot air. Question: Is there a way I can pull codes from the unit or is it something else I need to do. I usually fix my own vehicles if I may obtain the info. I just bought the 960. Jim from Northern CA
