Distributor question 140-160

I located a replacement distributor that I will have shortly. In the meantime I cleaned up my current one. I tried some JB Weld on the loose weight plate. Let it sit overnight and it was rock solid. Since I will be replacing the distributor I gave this fix a try. I set the timing and then raised the engine RPMs. The timing advance is now working.
