haunted fan

Hey everyone! Yesterday, my wife's v90 started running like crap, and the check engine light came on. Eventually, the engine sorted itself out (running fairly smooth, but with a high idle), but the light stayed on. After we shut the car off, the electric radiatior fan kept blowing for about 5 minutes. Now it does that every time you turn the car off. i haven't had a chance to check the codes yet, but I'm suspecting a coolant temp sensor (computer threw a code pertaining to that one day 6 months ago, but never had a problem since).

Anyone got any other suggestions?
