It's Mine - Mechanical Systems in a 1968 122S 120-130

Well... I bought that two-door green 68' sedan. I spoke with the seller and worked out the details after the auction concluded with no bids nigher that $610.00. I'm paying quite a lot more, but it's worth it. I'll probably pick it up next month and get it licensed.

Wish me luck that this car turns out better than my $1,000.00 1973 1800ES experience last october :) Man... now I wish I had a place to have kept that car...

Recently, I was looking into a nicely preserved 1964 122S (130) and had investigated the fit differences on the early models. I know that a 1968 has a lot of nice upgrades, but I'm not clear on certain "niceties" that I'm accustomed to in my upgraded 1967 P220 (1800E)

So, I've got a few questions and most are brake related.

(1) The car has a dual circuit MC, but I'm not sure whether the it just splits the front and rear, or if it is a true dual-circuit like the system that my 220(1800) now carries.

(2) Does it still has rear drum brakes? I assume so. Is a late 1800 axle a bolt-and-go or will it require welding?

(3) Will it have a pedal position sensor or a simple (probably defective) pressure sensor for the brake lights?

(4) Are there any nice 1968 upgrades that I might not otherwise we aware of?
