renovating an S90 S90-V90

I am about to replace the spark plugs on my 1997 965 (wagon, same as your engine). While asking the BB what plugs are best, several responses also mentioned that new plugs made a large difference. BTW I went with the Volvo plugs. Bosch plugs at AutoZone with the recommended number (FR 6 DC) cost $17.94 for six, the Volvo were $18.47 for six, bought from VPI parts in Houston.

While in there I will be inspecting the coil packs for signs of cracking and arcing.

Go for the plugs for sure. A large enough crack in a coil pack will put in a code and light the Check Engine light.

Good Luck,

Bob
