Temp under the hood.... 200 1993

Guys, I need a reality check. My temp gauge has been telling me lies (yes, it was the temp compensator board) and now I am paranoid that my car is running too hot. This is on the '93 245.

With the compensator board now bypassed, the needle is right in the middle where it should be. Previously it was running about halfway between the middle and the red.

After a 15 min drive, the upper radiator hose is too hot to touch for very long. The lower hose is hot, but I can grab it. The oil filler cap is almost too hot to touch.

Does this sound too hot?

Thanks!
