You say you DON'T have the spacers and heat shield between carbs and manifold?
And yet you ignore this as being the problem?

It IS your problem - your carbs run warm and "rejects" the fuel - fuel evaporise (?) and create air bubbels backwards in fuel-flow.

Well, keep on trying other solutions - maybe it has run great before - because the wheather hasn't been hot yet? You are in England/UK - so you probably haven't seen real warm temps untill about now these days..?
