A/C: capillary tube of TXV 200 1989

Just repaired a leaky o-ring at the exit of the evap...
So I had to remove all the black insulation from the TXV as well as at the exit of the evap, it was all soiled in oil from the leak.

Question:
Because I cannot recall the details of how the insulation was applied, how do I insulate the capillary tube of the TXV? Do I push it up to the piping of the TXV/entrance to evap, or do I insulate it seperately?
I plan on using plumbers piping insulation, and maybe some tuck tape over all of it to hold it there. Anyhow, I am sure this must make a difference, I want the capillary tube (which I guess controls the rate of flow of the TXV through the thermostat) to work as it should.

Let me know, appreciate it!
