Altenator Belts Don't Fit The Same....? 200 1988

Well, I'm buttoning things up after changing a bad water pump on my "88 240 .
I changed the timing belt, put in a used ac compressor( old one was bad) and replaced all of the other belts. The only strange thing is that the rear most altenator belt is tighter than the other one. The rear one deflects about 1/2 inch while the front one deflects almost a whole inch. It seems to sit a bit lower in the crank shaft pulley ,too. I'm using Continentals, both marked Conti-SF AVX10 x 920La. Each one has another number which is different on each belt, maybe the mfg date? c13 07 06 and c16 08 05. Should I change belts? How an I fix the difference? Does it make any difference? Thanks for the help many of you have provided for this project. I just hope the engine didn't suffer any warpage due to overheating when the pump went. Larry
