How to undo fuel rail fitting without damage? 200 1984

I searched around and looked on the FAQ but couldn't find any specific tips about how to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail on the B23X engine, other than "be careful not to twist the metal fuel line." I have done my best to follow this advice, used flare nut wrenches, penetrating oil, etc., but I cannot begin to break this fitting loose without starting to twist the line. I've put some serious pressure on it, and the fitting just won't snap. Any tips from your experience with this fitting would be greatly appreciated.
