??? Symptoms of a bad fuel pressure regulator ??? 200 1986

I have almost 364K miles on my sedan and one thing I've never replaced is my fuel pressure regulator. Are there any warning signs that one is getting ready to fail or is it something so gradually that I wouldn't notice it until I was stranded? I cleaned my injectors and replaced the seals about 60K ago. I don't seem to be having any issues and don't want to look for trouble or worry if I don't have to.

Thanks.
