122ES... Humm... does make sense. The parts I have are actually from a 71 1800E, but my machine is indeed a wagon...
I went to the store looking for glues and ended up just settling on Loctite. It worked okay to rejoin the cracked bakelite aas well as the little brass screw plug. It seems to be holding up well after reassembly. It's a black knob, so JB would have required a paint job. I forgot just how useful that stuff is. I performed short-term service repair on my plastic tanked 940 radiator back in spring '04 that utilized JB and that fiberglass drywall tape. The repair held up so well that I *almost* regretted replacing the radiator... If this repair fails, I might just reconstruct the broken part with JB and paint to match.
Not much luck on the OD indicator light placement. I temporarily fit my new dashboard into the car this afternoon and could quickly see that there was no room in the 122 instrument panel to drill another hole for the OD light. There is that radio rheostat hole over by the new grab handle... but that'd be a bit weird...
Maybe there's some option of putting a light in the tachometer pod? Especially if I have to leave out the smith's innards and put a compact electronic unit in there...
The carpet in question is the short pile indoor/outdoor stuff they sell at home depot. The blue is quite close to the faded original blue of my 220. I also got a nice remnant roll of that wool carpet padding for my carpet projects.
After I get the green 68 home, I'll see exactly what they have available.
Thanks for the responses and suggestions!
