Ball joint question (strut anchor bolts- safety) 200

Did my ball joints and complete tie rod assemblies on my '92 wagon (275k)yesterday. While removing the balljoints, I noticed that one of my 12mm strut anchor bolts on the driver side was sheared off such that it needs to be drilled out (I'm assuming by whoever attempted to do the ball joints ~100k ago. I didn't have time to extact the bolt yesterday (access was a real PITA), so I put her back together and am now running with only three strut anchor bolts on that side. Dumb idea? PArt of me tells me I should take it apart and drill 'er out, however I'm also assuming it had been like that for the last 100k or so with no problems so maybe I shouldn't worry. Any thoughts?

Thanks for listening.
