Delayed warning lights 200 1979

This smells of a bad ignition switch big time. This is especially true if you have a lot of keys on your keychain... the added weight stresses the switch.

You will probably just have to replace the electrical portion of the switch (on the back of the tumbler. It has a large round connector that plugs into it, and then it is held in place with two screws. Roughly a 30 minute job. From the dealer, the switch is around $70, but a company call STANDARD, sells an aftermarket part, good quality for roughly $30.
