Blower Fan 200 1988

1988 245 DL 270K miles...

the heater/ac fan which served all this time, died today. Worked yesterday, but did nothing when car was started up this morning.

#3 25A fuse checks ok, motor is dead in any switch position.

While odds are it is the fan motor I wonder: could it be the fan switch or resistor?

The volt gauge on the dash shows no draw now, when ignition on and fan switch is selected. I figured with a dead motor, it would still show signs of current even if seized up?

I also thought the motor would give tell tale signs, like squawking or chirping, before it shelled out.

anyway, thanks

Robert
