Help! Flushing the transmission S90-V90

Question about flushing the transmission.......

I've drained the transmission pan and unscrewed the return line off the transmission cooler. I'm expecting to find a nipple coming from the cooler that I can attach the plastic hose to. Instead its just a female compression nut!?

So, I'll need to hold the plastic tube on by hand, but what happens when you get squirted by hot transmission fluid!!!

The procedure from the FAQ says that you just "press it on the thread".... And so makes it sound like there is a male end there. But instead it's just a female??? So I'm confused, what have I done wrong?????

Thanks,
Stan
