Replacing Manual transmission mount 1990 244? 200

Howdy everyone, working on 1990 244.....
I was doing the ujoints in my driveshaft and since I had the driveshaft out of the way I decided to replace the trans mount. I removed the crossmember and put on the new mount.... but now that I am reinstalling the crossmember it is not willing to match up to its holes cause I have a nice new mount pushing it way back. Does anyone have ideas about how to get things to cooperate?

I tried using my jack to move/position the trans but to no avail.
