Volvo 122s questions 120-130

Hi all,

I'm from SA and drive a 1970 122s B20

I have the following questions and would appreciate any help:

1) The car has the std C type camshaft, would changing to IPD's street cam make a remarked difference in performance? If so, would this be low rpm or high rp power?
2) Has anyone tried the K or F type Volvo camshafts?
3) when using a performance camshaft, does one have to use double wound valve springs and hi rev lifters?
4) Lastly, i have a terrible 'THUD' on initial pullaway.
I've adjusted the rear brakes properly.
I suspect worn drums or even sticky handbrake cables?

Any thoughts on the above???

Many thanks

Much appreciated
