Cargo gate info wanted for 700/900 wagons 900

I managed to snaggle a free OEM cargo gate (dog gate), but naturally without the mounting hardware that was sold with the car. It's almost certainly the OEM gate for a 700 or 900, but the donor was unsure of the year. I don't recall seeing much on this topic posted -the BB search engine is off in la-la land today with SQL server problems; my favorite on-line parts houses don't list anything; I couldn't get Google to find anything and my parts guys are too busy to spend the time looking this up, especially as I'm not about to buy a gate ($$$) or any other parts off them.

Questions:
a) I saw somewhere that the gates were changed for the later 900's ('94-on?). Anyone know if that's right? Was it just the mounting fasteners on the rear seats that changed or was the gate itself re-designed? Anyone know the transition year or some feature I can look for in case I find something in a bone yard? The roof hardware would not likely have changed.
b) Anyone know if the mounting hardware (roof hinges, swing-up retainer clips and seat back clips) are available as separate items or a kit from Volvo?

Thanks in advance for any info.
