She's hot blooded, check it and see... (Fuel Pump) 200 1984

While rooting around on an unrelated mission, my hand brushed past the fuel pump relay this weekend. I know that others have had problems with them heating up, but how hot is 'too' hot? My relay was way to hot to hold onto, and the car had not been running for about 20 - 30 minutes when I encountered it.

Is this much ado about nothing, or should I get ready to replce this relay?

Thanks for your opinions.
