Heater core hoses backwards? 200

Since i put the rebuilt motor in, i have noticed that i have heat blowing out my vents, with the dial slide all the way to cold side. Now i bought this 92 244DL and never drove it cause of the motor, so i really don't know what the quirks of the car was.

Now i charged the AC up, the compressor is engaugeing with no problems, by the condinsatition comeing off the pipes it is telling me i should at least get some cold air.

anyways in the process i notice (from this board) it was best to replace the hoses that attach to the firewall, cause they are a Pita to do later... you gotta disconnect them anyways... But i got a feeling that i might have mismarked or screwedup some how in the process put them on backwards...

so is the pipe from the waterpump suppose to go to the Top nipple on the firewall or should the Head hose go there?

If not, i guess i might have a bad heater valve?

Thanks for the help, i normally don't have brain farts like this...LOL
