Compatible parts across different models

Hi guys,
I'm off to the salvage yard on Saturday to pick up some parts for my 1986 240GL.
The yard I'm going to only has two Volvos in stock...one is a 1987 245 and the other is a 1987 740 or 760. My question is how many parts can I expect will be interchangeable between my car and these? I'm mainly looking for things like lisence plate lights and a few engine parts (the 700 series has a B230FT so it should be pretty similar)and maybe a few interior parts. I guess I'll know when I get there but I was just looking to see what I can expect before hand.
Thanks in advnace,
Dave
