Curiosities

"My question is how many parts can I expect will be interchangeable between my car and these?"

Not that this will be very useful info for you, but there are a few parts that interchange between "almost all" Volvos. The gasket for the oil filler cap for the S/V70 is identical to the one for the 444 and all models in between. The flywheel bearing used for the 200 series cars was around for a while too, same goes for the oil plug. While on the subject, when color code 019 was introduced dinosaurs were still walking on Earth. The engine oil filter for the B18/B20 will fit a 1998 S/V70, and is still being used for the trucks - as a gear oil filter.
