where is my ignition control unit? 200 1993

i can't figure out where the inginition control unit is on my 93 240 wagon. my haynes manual (that came with the car) tells me how to replace it, but not where it is located.

i'm asking because this is a sort of last resort for a problem that no one can seem to figure out. the car is running like it's not getting enough fuel. it has limited/intermitent power. if it's started cold it will stall out/hardly move when driven. if it warms up to normal level it drives much better, but not like it should. it feels like i'm driving through quicksand, just not taking off like it should. the volvo guy i normally take it to is out of answers. he's already checked the entire fuel, air, and exhaust systems. and he changed the replaced the ECU fuel computer because he said it was bad. he says it's getting fuel, air, and spark. i then took it to my local volvo dealer to look at and got no where. they said it was probably the ignition control unit, but it would take about five hours to diagnose. i said no thanks. so, that brings me to my question of where this thing is located. any help would be greatly appreciated as the car is in great condition other than this "mystery" condition.
