Rough idle....replace harness? 200 1984

Hi Art and thanks for butting in!! Could always use some fresh eyes looking at the same painting.

I'll be doing some tests on the sensors today following the volvo manual and I may swap out the harness just because I have one laying around anyway and what am I saving it for? The old one will only get worse. Will see if I can find some nice wide black electric tape to better tape up the new harness before installing. Lots of wires are still exposed on the new one. Or I could do what I did on my old 84 and get a black sump pump hose; slice it down the middle and use it as a loom. That held up pretty well and didn't melt or get brittle on the old car. Maybe do a bit of both.

The engine ran fine prior to the blue wire thing last weekend so am inclined to think compression is ok. However, I may have over-flexed parts of the harness and critical circuits or a half dozen other things which are still suspect. Thats what happens when too many parts are swapped out at the same time. I will first put back the old IAC just to see if anything changes before I do the harness swap.
