What causes a message to double, or even triple post. Is it something Im doing wrong? Is it my computer? What?

Are you, by force of habit, double-clicking on the "Submit" button?

I get double posts every now and then, and sometimes have no clue why.

In cases where I see the double before the time when a post can be edited has expired, I go back and edit one of the doubles to delete the entire message and change the subject line to something like "IGNORE...duplicate post...nmi" .

The nmi means no message inside, and is used when the subject line tells all the story. Saves a reader's time.
