How to move a/c compressor? 200 1981

In the process of getting car ready for new alternator belts, I have hit a frustration wall with trying to get the compressor unbolted so that I can get the tension off the belt to facilitate removing and installing the alternator belts. The problem child is the lower rear nut (from the front of the car).

If there are better methods to accomplish this, I'm all ears.
