240 alternator, B20 140-160

I find myself in need of possibly two alternators in the near future on both the '70 and the '66 which now has a B20. I can get by on one SEV unit I have on the '70, genny on the '66 but eventually would like to consider 240 Bosch units on the B20s and keep a spare genny/regulator for the '64. I don't really care if the 240 unit is internally or externally regulated... though I've consitently killed 4 regualtors between these cars.

In a search I read about installing 240 alts on Generator brackets/adaptors
and 240 alts on B18's with modified upper braces.

but did not learn if replacing an alternator on a B20 with one from a B21/23 would require anything more than some re-wiring.

if this is something that requires cutting/welding, I'm afraid I'm out for the time being.

So before I hit the yards, I'd like to gather some valued experience.

Thanks! -Sean
