Seat Rail Question 200

I have never owned a 2-dr, so I can't say about a difference in that regard. But...

first, have you checked the fore and aft seat height adjustments -- they make a small difference in how far back it "seems" to be?

second, I once got a car whose seat was peculiarly (compared to my other cars)far back -- and I mean far! I usually have my seats slid back as far they can go -- but on this car I had to pull the seat almost all the way forward.
So I took off the seat and discovered that it sat on a special rail that, in turn, sat on the stock rail. That intermediate rail fit the bottom, OEM rail perfectly as if it was the seat's rail, and the seat fit on top of it perfectly as well -- but because of the fittings on the upper and lower sides of that intermediate rail, the seat was positioned exactly 3 inches (as I recall) farther back. It was machined precisely, and it seemed to me to be Volvo accessory that would be dealer-installed to accommodate tall drivers. Maybe you can still get one?
