Will this work? 940T 93- 95 230FT engine swap into 91 740T. what do I look for? 700

Will this work?

I presently have a 1991 740T that I’m considering upgrading with a later model 230FT say out of a 640. Current wisdom seems to be that the 93-95 230FT engines are more robust with the oil squirters and other upgrades.

So the question is: What about the ignition system types and Fuel injection types and the Cars ECU. Will I need to get the full systems on the 940 as well as the ECU or can I swap the ignition and FI from the 740 block to the 940 block?

Unless the block is very low mileage I expect to rebuild the 940 block.

Your thoughts?????

Woody
