weak blower 960 900

My car has all the symptons associated with losing air from the vents during acceleration and I understand the problem there. The problem I have is the amount of pressure, or lack thereof, at the dash vents. I am the original owner of the car and as far as I can remember the blower never really blew very forcefully. High speed on this car would be like a 2 or 3 on other cars. While idleing I have all 5 speeds on the fan but even at high speed there just doesnt seem to be alot of air coming out. This happens with the heat as well. Are blower motors much of a problem with the 960, mine is a 1996? Is there a blend door that may be stuck in the wrong position?
I noticed a piece of weatherstripping flapping around inside the vent above the radio. How does the vent come off? I'd like to fix that.

Thanks
Neil
