After surfing the FAQs all afternoon, got some great info to use. I'll be cleaning my '85 240's TB and IAC. Haven't attempted cleaning since purchase 8 yrs ago (it has 256K on now). One question regarding the TB gasket, since the nearest dealer is in Colorado Springs (2hr round trip) and they rarely have such old gaskets in stock, can I safely use a thin film of Permatex's UltraBlu silicone over the old gasket, or its remains when I pull off the TB? Or in place of the old all together? Or wait for a special order from local parts store?
