Question about Waxing/Polishing

1st step
Give the car a good washing with automobile liquid soap. NO DAWN !!!

2nd step
Use a good clay bar. Just follow the instructions on the box

3rd step
Use a good cleaner wax. Your choices depend on how scratched, hazed, swirl, or oxidized your paint is. I find that Meguiar's Color X is perfect for just about all needs.

4th step
OPTIONAL Use a good polymer wax. Meguiar's NXT wax is great, great shine, long durable shine.

5th step
OPTIONAL If you want that extra something in your car's shine do a final top with a GOOD carnauba wax. Meguiar's #16 is the BEST carnauba wax ever made. It's not longer made any more due to government voc regulations. But you can still buy some on Ebay. All other carnaubas pale in comparison.

A good web site to check out is
